Berkshire Valley is really an amazing course. This is a must for any golfer playing in New Jersey will not be disappointed. When I entered the parking and led to the club house, I knew I was in for a treat. The general appearance of the initial course of putting a smile on my face. The first five holes of the course start on top of a mountain. The view from the first hole is truly impressive, as it gives the rest of the course. The first five holes are a challenge because if they are straight off the tee, the ball is OB With that said, if you can survive the first five holes, the rest of the course more or less open. From the tee, the landing areas on the streets seem to be tight, however are wider below. I do not think the first 5 holes, the course can be played by any level of golfer. You need not be too long from the tee on this course to score. There are more than a few holes that can keep your driver in the bag and use a fairway wood or long iron off the tee. Apart from the first 5 holes, if they are wandering off the tee, you still have a decent chance in the second green. Most greens are protected by water or sand to mid-iron is important, perhaps more important than a good drive. This in my opinion, makes it fun for players as a means for me. This course is a must play if you are looking for something new and fun.
Berkshire Valley staff was great, could not have been quite nice. We got lost on our way to the course draws shop and were very kind with us. Once we arrived, we did not rush. They we took our time and once we were ready, he sent us on our way to the first hole.
Facilities at the Berkshire Valley also fell short. The green was more than enough, sits beside the 18th hole and almost overlooked throughout the course. You get a real sense of what the roll and the speed of the greens will be when you actually get on the course. The practice on the contrary was the best means, but most of the courses I've played county do not even have a wide so you can not feel too much. The clubhouse was nice, however, there is no bar to sit down after the round. They have a snack bar area which serves food and can grab a cold beer. They also have to be within and out. The outdoor seating overlooking the 18th hole, which is good because you can see people like you end up sipping a cold drink. Note that the exterior living room, while nice, offers only a few seats and into the living room is nothing special, but serves its purpose.
Usually when you hear he's playing a course in the county, hopes that the conditions of the course to be adequate, but not great. Well this course the country is the exception to that rule. I thought the course has been maintained and well cared for perfectly. The conditions in the Valley of Berkshire, in my opinion were as pretty as any course I've played top. Each table output was spotless, every street was cut off, the holds were filled with sand and the greens from hole to hole were as consistent as any course I've played. Like most courses in the county, county residents can make reservations can be made by phone or online. Non-residents the other party can only use the online option to reserve tee-times. Tee-times can be booked one week in advance and presented to the public at 8:00 PM. Times fill up fast and IsNot rare to get a busy signal when calling a week before 8:00 pm for a start time Saturday, so be sure to have the course number on speed dial and keep trying.
Do not be fooled by the name of the course in the county. During playback Berkshire Valley expects to pay a fee for private courses. In county residents pay $ 70 a shirt early hour in the weekend, and out of county golfers pay $ 95 for the privilege of playing this amazing course. Prices are lower during high risk hours and days of week. In my opinion the course is really worth the ticket price.
