The first major golf courses and is close you can almost feel the excitement in the air. With Tiger Woods stating that they are playing is guaranteed to be an electric event. There is something so special about Augusta is almost like visiting a sacred place. It is truly one of the most beautiful areas of the world. But for most true golf fans of beauty is lost as the players focus on, marveling at the variety and skill of the player, shots.

The Masters was first staged in 1934 and is played every year except 1943 / 4 and 5 when used to raise cattle and Turkey during World War II. On Wednesday Par 3 tournament was played for the first time in 1960 and is now a highly anticipated event each year. The youngest player to ever win the event was in 1997 when Tiger Woods was only 21 years old. He put up four scoring record and won by a record 12 strokes. The oldest player to win the event was Jack Nicklaus in 1986 at the age of 46. This year, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer will be the Boot "fee" of the Masters.

So who is your money going to be this year? Tiger has not played for more than four months, but certainly not be ruled out. He is a very talented, but will be under the gaze of the media worlds, just know that it will give your best bet. The bookmakers certainly all seem to have it as a favorite at this time. Other players with low probabilities are Phil Mickleson, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington and Steve Stricker. One of my favorites is Lee Westwood, who probably will win a Major soon. He is so close on many occasions I would think that maybe this is their year. There for many talented players on both the PGA European Tour and I think I'll save my money and just enjoy the tournament.

I love the aftermath of the event. All Local golf courses are full of people who want to play golf like you've seen on TV. The only problem is encountered that is not as easy as it sounds. It then a case of going to his local professional club for lessons or search the Web for tips on how to improve your game. There are some excellent websites that you can visit for golf tips and lessons on line, the only problem is that you can lose hours of your valuable time looking for the right.
