"It was the best of times. It was the worst of times". The opening of Dickens, a tale of two cities is very much like a typical round of golf for some players. The shots they get good and bad. The poor tend to cause problems. And when players are in trouble, sometimes you make bad decisions. Add strokes to their handicaps courses.
Staying out of the problems is the key to a low handicap. Of course, this is easier said than done. For some, problems found. And always seems to be of the same class, like hitting into the sand traps and trees. Here are four shots to get you out of trouble.
The Long Bunker Shot
Is there anything worse than a 40-yard bunker shot? Judging by the comments of the players who take my golf lessons or read my golf tips, it is not. Want a way out each time: Play the vaccine as a long putt.
Take your sand wedge. Built close to the ball than you normally would for a shot of fuel and using a reverse overlap grip. Now make a turn in a "U", not a V-shaped turn. Keep your weight on the front foot and make a long putt aggressive as gunfire rolling shoulders and rotate your stomach.
The club should enter the arena and through it. Try not to dig in the sand, as you would if you paste a typical fuel firing. Done right, it will increase the control of the ball and goes out each time.
Under the trees
Sooner or later you'll find hit a tree below. It may be the result of a bad cut or a draw hook dead, but not under a tree. If you hit high, the branches will eliminate the shot down. You need to stay low and get as much distance in the shot as possible. Its goal is to get in good position for the next shot.
To play a ball under a tree (or other obstacle), you have to play what is essentially a shooting range. Use a 5-iron, but configured as if hitting his pitching wedge. Place the weight well forward of the ball position back, and maintain its position slightly open. Make a rise of three quarters, controlling the movement with the upper body, not arms.
Do not punch the ball through impact. Instead, take a smooth swing, as if He takes a soft tone. That the field playing the ball club. Think low and slow and make the shot. The combination will keep you on the obstacle.
Escaping from a rut in the sand

Many players in this draft to have a big swing with your arms loosely back. This poses a fall inconsistent. Instead, pretend you're holding a cigar in mouth, pointing down. Make your backswing without letting the pure movement. The most severe and shorter rise helps you hit the ball solid off any lie. (You can use a real cigarette as a practical aid, if desired.)
Dedicate yourself to stay out of trouble this season. But do not be discouraged if you are under a low hanging tree or a long bunker. Stay calm and use your head.
If you have trouble saving practice shots as described above, not only end up getting out of trouble - and in good position for the next shot - you also make an impact on that handicap of yours.
